Creative Graphing Assignment

Basically, you are to create a set of directions that will be given to junior high students to practice plotting points properly. If they do and your directions (points) are accurate, they should reproduce your drawing. In the process of doing this assignment, you will get lots of practice reading points on a graph - something that I've found that a number of students have difficulty doing (at least in the past).

Sample directions:

Plot the following points and join them in order. (3,6), (9, 1),
(-2, 5)...

If you have more than one item in the drawing (ex. a window in a house or an eye of a puppy), separate the sets of points with another set of directions.

ex. Now join the following points...

To Hand In:

- the grid paper with your drawing on it (points indicated)

- a separate sheet with the directions on it (including all points)
